About Ower FC

Established in 2003, Ower FC joined the Eastleigh Football Mundial, 6-a-side football league, after several seasons playing under the name of AFC Paultons. The squad has remained pretty much the same throughout this time, and has enjoyed many successes including the league title in the first year, and a cup triumph. The 5-a-side team started a year later and won the league in the first season and have won medals evey season since.

Ower FC are in their third season at 11-a-side in the Southampton & District Sunday League. The team finished third in Division Five in 2005/6 which led to promotion to Division Four. Improvements were made across the board and this led to winning the Division Four title last season and completing a double with victory in the SeaMariner Junior Trophy.

That cup was nearly defended as Ower again reached the final, but were well beaten by Chandlers Ford Saints. Not to be denied more silverware, though, Ower also reached the final of the Southampton Junior "B" Cup and this time emerged victorious after extra time against Bridge Inn.
